About Our Community

Hershey’s Mill is located outside of West Chester, PA on 800 gorgeous acres that were originally owned by John J. Sullivan, a prominent Philadelphia attorney, in the early to mid-1900s. The land was acquired from Mr. Sullivan’s estate after his death, and the construction of Hershey’s Mill as a planned residential community began in February 1974. From this beginning, a total of 25 villages have been constructed. Surrounding the 18 holes of the Hershey’s Mill Golf Club course, the principal attractions of the “Mill” are the open space, beautiful landscaping, ease of upkeep, 24-hour security, and a wonderful sense of community.
